Patrick Willocq has been working as a self-thought photographer for the last 25 years. His photography shows his passion for travel, discovery, and learning about different cultures. His desire is to document the realities that he has witnessed since childhood in the culture in which he has been closely intertwined. Willocq lived and worked outside of France for most of his life, 7 years of which in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Through his work he attempts to offer a different image of the Congo and Africa in general, and go beyond the images which media tend to focus on.
