Program

 

In collaboration with the Nederlands Fotomuseum, Haute Photographie will offer an extensive public program, which includes tours and talks from world-renowned photographers. Together with them, we will create a photography hub during Art Rotterdam week. Besides this, Haute will invite special groups of collectors and partners of the fair for speciality guided tours. 

New program for 2020 will be published early next year.

”Verzamelen Fotografie” + Tour

Wil je alles te weten komen over het verzamelen en conserveren van fotografie? Dan biedt het Nederlands Fotomuseum in samenwerking met Haute je een unieke kans. Tijdens de Introductiecursus Verzamelen Fotografie leer je alles over vintage en hedendaagse fotografie, welke factoren prijzen op de kunstmarkt beïnvloeden en hoe je fotografie het beste kan bewaren.

Je zult een bezoek brengen achter de schermen bij het Nederlands Fotomuseum, waar Martijn van den Broek, Hoofd Collecties Nederlands Fotomuseum, alles vertelt wat je moet weten over fotografische materialen en hoe je deze het beste kan bewaren. Vervolgens leidt Willemijn van der Zwaan, Hoofd Programma Haute Photographie, je rond over de beurs en wijst je waar je op moet letten bij het kopen van een foto.

Catherine Troiano, curator for the Victoria & Albert Museum, will offer insights into one of the most important photography collections of the world. The V&A, world's leading museum of art and design, has an extensive collection of work by female artists. Accompanied by renowned artists Carla van de Puttelaar, Laura Hospes and Jiske Schols Troiano delves into the often overlooked role of women in photography’s history.

Rein Jelle Terpstra

Photographer Rein Jelle Terpstra will discuss his  current solo exhibition in the Nederlands Fotomuseum His exhibition ‘Robert F. Kennedy Funeral Train – The People’s View’. For this project, artist Rein Jelle Terpstra has created a visual reconstruction of the ‘funeral train’ – the train that, on 8 June 1968, transported the mortal remains of the murdered politician Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) from New York to Washington D.C. - from the point of view of people who lined the track to pay their last respects.
